my very first photo exhibit

Hello reader!

So, one of my biggest hobbies is photography. It’s the one hobby that I keep coming back to. When I started studying a year ago, I got the time and energy to put some more time into it. The fact that I was studying media production (where photography was included) also helped!

My very last project in that media production course was to put together a photo exhibit. Super scary (hello, imposter syndrome), but also incredibly fun. And I did it! Not only did I create a portfolio and online exhibit, I actually got the chance to display my photos for two whole weeks at the local library.

It’s a crazy feeling. In a good way! For someone who has always been very self-critical, it’s difficult to put yourself out there like this. “Showing off” in public. And I honestly can’t believe that my teachers managed to encourage me enough to actually go through with it. But I’m so happy they did. It has been such a fun project, and somehow I now feel a bit more serious in my photography than I used to.

I’m very grateful for this experience, and I highly recommend that you try to push yourself a bit regarding your creations or other endeavours. Believe in yourself! Try things out, give it a go. What’s the worst thing that could happen?

Until next time,
